We find ourselves both monarch and fool
Turned a blind eye to all that we knew
Egalitarian cemetery plot
This marks the spot of our lobotomy
Look how far we have now strayed!
The gross indecency, look at the state of us!
Once nomadic gatherers and far less of us
Unbridled by the grip of mans own vanity
We're barely living
Feeding our own death
I plead with those willing to listen
Still harbour these feelings within
For this kingdom of land and flesh
Is not ours and never was
Hearing the songs while reading the narrative behind the lyrics, I felt overwhelmed by this tragic story in which humans and artificial intelligence couldn't coexist side by side. Their reciprocal annihilation was inevitable. Except one "sole survivor, in a ship filled with memories. She had become the proof of Earth, proof that life had existed there, a voice for all the species and beauty we once knew". A dystopian concept dressed up in brilliant musicianship! @Slevin, thanks, I owe it to you! Umbra Cornuta

Crust with strings is a heartfelt and honest pairing. And the opening track Awoken is such a beautiful track, I can't help but listen to it on repeat. Gemma
